What is OnwardsDM?

OnwardsDM is a dedicated Crusade server, master server, and long term support update for the release of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Ubisofts awesome fantasy first person fighting game.

The current OnwardsDM content packs allow players to host and join online servers, have a restored Online server listing, and generally have a great time playing together.

OnwardsDM is completely free to download, other than the main game which you must buy.

How to play Dark Messiah of Might and Magic online:

STEP 1: Install the game

Purchase and Download Dark Messiah of Might & Magic (2.86 GB)

STEP 2: Install the OnwardsDM patch

Options: Multi-Player Single-Player Dedicated Server (392.9 MB)

STEP 3: Join the Discord

Join the Community in Discord for scheduled games and pick-up-groups!

STEP 4: Launch the game on Steam

Launch either the Single-Player or Multi-Player game through Steam and get to fighting!

FAQ:

I can't see any servers

First, make sure you've correctly installed the OnwardsDM patch from above; this is absolutely necessary for playing online.

Otherwise, this is usually due to HTTP traffic to the game being blocked by a firewall or antivirus software.

In the case of firewalls and some AV software, the game may require an exception to be able to connect and play online.
Some anti-virus software incorrectly blocks the server-listing traffic from the game with features such as HTTP filtering or "Link Scanning"
- AVG Anti-Virus is particularly notorious for this, and may require re-installing AVG to fully disable the filtering.

In rare cases this can be caused by the online services being temporarily offline for maintenance.
